Motus Nordic stronger after new acquisition

As part of the overall strategy, on 31 August 2023 Motus Nordic acquires the majority holding of Klovborg Maskinfabrik, located near Horsens. Industrial and logistics companies have an ongoing focus on developing efficiency and productivity through automation and digitization. Motus Nordic already contributes to this development as a value-creating supplier to, among others, industrial and logistics companies in the Nordic region.
With the acquisition of Klovborg Maskinfabrik, a manufacturer of conveyor systems for multiple industries, Motus Nordic expands further its portfolio of relevant products and services that move products and people safely and efficiently through production and logistics chains.
The acquisition of the majority holding of Klovborg Maskinfabrik fits perfectly into Motus Nordic's strategy to become a full-service partner for industrial and logistics companies when creating safe and efficient flow in processes.

"At Klovborg Maskinfabrik, they pay tribute to flexibility and efficiency, and are ready to assist their customers should the need arise. That mentality matches our DNA and culture and fits into our mission to always move products and people safely and efficiently. With the purchase of the majority holding of Klovborg Maskinfabrik,
we can continue our strategic direction and at the same time offer our customers even better and broader solutions to support the ongoing development of their competitiveness", states Nicolai Hansen, CEO at Motus Nordic.

A competent continuation of Klovborg Maskinfabrik
The purchase of Klovborg Maskinfabrik also helps to ensure a successful generational change, where the current owners in the coming three years will continue as part of the ownership group with a minor owner’s share. "It was important for us to enter into an ownership with a Danish company very similar to our own and with the same company culture, and we have succeeded. We continue with the same good employees, products, and customers, but we believe that Klovborg Maskinfabrik under Motus Nordic management can be streamlined and optimized further and thus provide even better solutions", says Ole Højgård, CEO at Klovborg Maskinfabrik.
Motus Nordic too believes that the new acquisition will bring many opportunities in the future. "We are excited that we have been given the opportunity to acquire Klovborg Maskinfabrik, and together with the founders we look forward to further developing the strong platform they have created during the past 25 years, for the benefit of both existing and new customers", concludes Nicolai Hansen.

Fiberpartner ApS enters into exclusive partnership

Fiberpartner ApS enters into exclusive partnership with Pond Global A/S on bio-based plastic for the development, production, and marketing of staple fibers.

Fiberpartner, a leading player in polyester fibers, has entered the partnership with Pond Global for the use of their bio-based Pond Cycle©, which replaces fossil polyester. The agreement is an important step towards more environmentally friendly solutions within the staple fiber industry.

Staple fibers are used in a wide range of products, including nonwovens, which are used for the production of for instance, nappies, mouthwashes, and wet wipes, as well as filling for pillows and duvets and not least as binding fibers. With Pond Cycle©, Fiberpartner will be able to offer a bio-based alternative to traditional polyester fibers. Some of the advantages of Pond Cycle© are a greatly reduced CO2 footprint, easier and more efficient recycling, and biodegradability.

Founder and CEO of Fiberpartner, Thomas Wittrup, states: "The exclusive partnership with Pond Global strengthens our position and allows us to deliver sustainable and innovative products to our customers."

So far, Fiberpartner has primarily sold polyester fibers, a significant part of which comes from recycled PET bottles. Three years ago, Fiberpartner began developing and selling fibers that are degraded in nature by microorganisms using the additive PrimaLoft® Bio™. The partnership with Pond Global adds a new and important milestone for Fiberpartner in their continued efforts to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions, which goes well with the company's PrimaLoft® Bio™ fibers.

Fiberpartner's collaboration with Pond Global will help meet the demand for environmentally friendly fibers that can replace traditional polyester fibers. By utilizing Pond Global's technology, Fiberpartner will be able to develop and produce high quality bio-based and biodegradable staple fibers that are in line with the company's sustainability strategy.

Based on an organization with strong competencies, Fiberpartner runs its business all over the world. In 2021, Fiberpartner sold over 50,000 tons of fiber to customers in markets around the world.

Fiberpartner develops and sells biodegradable textiles via a global licensing agreement with PrimaLoft®, USA, and thus contributes to reducing the more than DKK 3.6 million. tons of textiles that today end up as textile waste.

Thomas Wittrup, CEO and co-owner, says: “It is my hope that Fiberpartner with the new ownership structure can continue the positive change of the textile industry that is already underway. I look forward to helping our customers with the right sustainable solutions and thereby be able to help reduce plastic pollution in the world”.
